You wear your kimono several times a week.
Drills, sparring, warm-ups... it takes it all in.

And yet, many people don't really pay attention to how they wash it.

At first, it's not necessarily noticeable.
But after a few weeks, you start to feel something change.
The fabric doesn't fall the same, it becomes stiffer, sometimes even a little shorter.

Often, it's simply the result of a bad wash.

The classic mistake is to try to "clean well" by turning up the temperature or tumble-drying.
At the time, it seems logical. But in reality, this is the quickest way to damage your kimono.

If you want your kimono to last, there's nothing complicated about it.
Washing at 30 or 40 degrees is enough, and air-drying does the rest.
It's simple, but it makes all the difference in the long run.

You wear a kimono several times a week.
So you might as well keep it as clean as possible for as long as possible.
