Metropolis, the fifth installment in G.L. Pease’s Zeitgeist Collection, is now available on-site.
Metropolis is a complex English flake inspired by the Art Deco movement, the name nodding to Fritz Lang’s landmark 1927 film among other masterworks of the era. It symbolizes the soaring vertical ambition and optimism of the Deco world at its height.
This medium-bodied mixture is built on distinguished 2023 Bright and 2019, 2021, and 2023 Red Virginias, alongside Italian Dark-Fired, St. James Parish Perique, Turkish Latakia, and 2021 Semi-Fired Kentucky. The Virginias maintain natural sweetness to the fore, while the Latakia and semi-fired lay down a quiet earthiness that runs throughout.
