Tropical Storm Lala forced the cancellation of the Hawaii Trifecta Weekend, torrential rain and fierce winds making the original course impossible. Rather than call it off entirely, the Spartan team and volunteers pivoted on the spot, turning it into a special Hurricane Heat before the storm fully hit.
Nearly 2,000 racers took on the challenge, proving nothing stops the Spartan spirit. Wet, muddy and tough as hell, exactly what Spartans sign up for.

Two iconic brands, one historic backdrop. Badminton Estate hosted Tough Mudder on Saturday and Spartan on Sunday, with racers tackling the one-day Trifecta, Sprint, Super and Beast back to back to back. Morning cloud cleared to beaming sunshine, and the fast, flat South West terrain rewarded every racer chasing a quick time.
The Beast 21K formed part of the UK National Series, and Daniel Titcomb topped the men's field in 1:28:22, with Becky Neal leading the women's race in 1:49:47.
Completing all three distances in one day is no small feat, three start lines, three finish lines, and barely a breath between them. That grit was on full display, none more so than Team GTeam Racing, who completed the One Day Trifecta alongside wheelchair-bound British Army veteran "Knocker" Watkins, proving what's possible with the right mindset and the right team behind you.

Liberec hosted this year's event in the shadow of the historic Ještěd Ski Jumping Hills, extreme heat testing 2,700 adult racers and 600 kids across the weekend, with part of the festival village tucked into a forest chapel for shade between races.
The Sprint delivered a standout story. Jan Hošák, just 16 and a former Czech representative at the Kids World Championship in Chongli, took the win, a rising star proving he belongs among the seniors too.
In the Super, Richard Hynek and Zuzana Kocumová topped the Elite podiums, leading the field on one of the toughest days of the season.

Saturday belonged to Tough Mudder, kicking off the Badminton Estate takeover weekend with 8,000 participants plus kids and spectators packing the historic grounds. Morning cloud gave way to sunshine by late morning, and the vibe only climbed from there.
The South West's fast, flat terrain gave Mudders plenty to enjoy, and Electric Eel made its first UK appearance of the season, brought back by popular demand and an instant crowd favourite. Pyramid Scheme and Mudderhorn tested teamwork to the limit, ensuring no Mudder was left behind, while Kids By Spartan stayed busy all day.
The real headline was milestones. Simon Ansell and Clara Norman both hit their 100x Headband, with Clara becoming the first female adaptive athlete ever to reach 100 Tough Mudders.
Tough Mudder returns to Badminton Estate alongside Spartan on 14–15 August 2027.
