September full moon 2026: When, where and how to see the Harvest Moon | Space . com

“The full moon of September 2026 will occur at 12:49 p.m. EDT (1649 GMT) on 9/26 as the moon glows opposite the sun in Earth’s sky. September’s full moon is often referred to as the Harvest moon — a traditional name for the full moon that falls closest to the September equinox, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. Sadly, the Sun, Earth, and moon won’t line up again to create a spectacular lunar eclipse, as was the case in August. But it’ll still present a magnificent treat for stargazers hoping to explore the majesty of the lunar disk with the naked eye, a telescope, or a camera.”

Snickers creates 'world's first digital chocolate bar' for misbehaving AI | The European

“Snickers has created what it claims is the world’s first digital chocolate bar designed specifically to be ‘fed’ to artificial intelligence when it starts behaving badly. From today, frustrated users can copy and paste a code, or ‘digital bar’, into a chatbot conversation when it makes up information or produces incorrect answers. The pasted code links to a Snickers webpage that tells the AI to review its previous answer and respond again. Its new answer ends with the line: ‘AI isn’t itself when it’s hungry’ — a play on Snickers’ long-running You’re Not You When You’re Hungry slogan…”

Beyond origami: New algorithm designs expandable 3D lattices | New Atlas

“Chances are you’ve seen Hoberman spheres, those kinetic lattices made of joint-connected rods that, with a little manual effort, can contract or expand. Inspired by the ancient Japanese arts of origami (paper-folding) and kirigami (paper-folding-and-cutting), a team from Harvard University in the U.S. and Tokyo University in Japan has developed expandable structures that, like Hoberman spheres, use rods and scissored joints. They’re calling them ‘collapsible scissored surfaces and pantographic lattices’ … although Hobegami would be much cooler and faster to type.”
