Bust out the BBQ and call the grill master. It's cookout season, and we are fully embracing it!
I've gotten into the habit of eating my grilled food without a bun.. I did a little experiment where I purchased a bag of store-bought hamburger buns. I wanted to see how long they'd last in my cabinet before molding… I finally threw them out after ONE YEAR.
After a year in the cabinet in their original packaging, they were hard as a doorstop, but had no mold.
Isn't that alarming? Our food is supposed to mold after a few days. It's natural. But when food lasts a year without molding, it makes you stop and wonder what we're really eating.
This year, I want a burger with a bun- but I’m skipping the store bought buns and rounding up Darrold to make our own.
The beauty of this recipe is that there are only seven ingredients—and these buns definitely won't last a year in your pantry.
