The Results Are In!

Over the past few weeks, bakers from across the country filled our inbox with incredible creations—from classic fruit pies and buttery hand pies to jaw-dropping edible decorations that celebrated America's 250th birthday in the most delicious way possible.

Every submission reflected creativity, craftsmanship, and the joy of baking from scratch.

Thank you to everyone who entered, shared your recipes, and celebrated with us.

Meet This Year's Champions!

"Fresh peaches, a touch of warm spice, and a blueberry star field baked in a golden sugared crust to celebrate America’s sweet summertime."

"The apple rose was made with thin slices of a mix of Pink Lady and Honeycrisp apples marinated in sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg before cooking in a skillet until softened and pliable. In the meantime, the toasted walnut frangipane batter was made and spread onto the pie crust."

"The crust was made with rendered bear fat from a road kill bear that was able to be made use of. The flour is of course Sunrise Flour Mill flour. The egg for the crust was from our hens here. The pie filling was made with freshly picked rhubarb and lilac petals from our homestead. My locally grown kids also helped by pulling the flowers off the branches with me."

The quality of this year's entries reminded us why homemade pie has always been at the center of family gatherings, holidays, and celebrations. Every crust, every filling, and every decorative detail told a story.

Whether your pie won a prize or simply made your family smile around the table, we'd call that a success.
