If you’ve enjoyed a Tanners own label wine before, you’ll already know the care that goes into selecting them. Each one is chosen not only for its quality and value, but also for the people behind it. The latest addition to the range is Tanners Provence Rosé.
The pale, delicate rosés of Provence have become a familiar feature of summer tables in recent years. Beyond the well-known celebrity labels, there are long-established family estates quietly producing wines of real character and quality. Château Pas du Cerf is one such estate. Founded in 1848, just six years after Tanners, it remains firmly family-run today.
Set within 700 hectares of protected forest, the estate is managed by sisters Aurore, Diane and Marion Gualtieri, the eighth generation of the family to do so. The vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with cooling sea breezes tempering the heat and the surrounding valley offering natural protection from heavy rain. Organic farming practices have been in place since 2010, with full certification achieved in 2018. Great care is also taken to preserve the wider environment, encouraging local wildlife and maintaining a hilltop reservoir that supports the surrounding ecosystem.
If you're making the most of the mini heatwave, this effortlessly drinkable Provence Rosé is ideal either on its own or alongside light summer dishes — think grilled seafood, fresh salads and charcuterie.
