Free French Activity: Relive the World Cup with Mbappé Trivia ⚽

The World Cup may be drawing to a close, but you can relive the excitement in your French classes this fall. The free Kylian Mbappé Trivia Activity from Trivia in the World Language Classroom introduces your students to the headline-making captain of the French national team through fun facts and community-building trivia. It's a great way to boost engagement, encourage collaboration, and strike up conversations about the soccer fervor that ruled the summer. Best of all? There's no prep needed!

To teach with this free resource:

1.  Introduce your students to Kylian Mbappé and the background facts about him on the first slide.

2.  In French, ask students to share anything else they know about him or observed during the World Cup this summer. If your students show an interest, allow your discussion to encompass your students' impressions of or experiences with the World Cup.

3.  Present the trivia question on the second slide.

4.  Give your students time to formulate their guesses to the trivia question until they agree upon an answer as a class.

5.  Reveal the answer on the third slide the next day. Reward the class that had the closest guess.
