Hi there,
There are parts of ourselves we learn to push away.
| ◆ |
The part that feels too needy. |
| ◆ |
The part that gets angry. |
| ◆ |
The part that keeps choosing the same person or falling into the same pattern. |
| ◆ |
The part that copes in ways that don’t feel great. |
| ◆ |
The part that thinks it should be “over it” by now. |
| ◆ |
The part that wants something we judge ourselves for wanting. |
| ◆ |
The part that feels weak, jealous, ashamed, afraid, resistant, or just... too much. |
|
Most of us try to get rid of these parts.
We try to rise above them, fix them, suppress them, override them, or become someone who doesn’t have them anymore.
But you cannot get rid of something that is part of you.
When a part of yourself is rejected, it does not disappear. It tends to live in the shadow, outside your conscious awareness, where it can still affect your reactions, choices, relationships, and patterns.
This is why Part 1 of Facing What Is Hidden begins with the rejected self.

Part 1
Meet the Rejected Self
A guided experience in Teal’s voice that helps you connect with a part of yourself you may have judged, resisted, pushed away, or misunderstood.
|
The purpose is not to make yourself wrong for having this part of you.
It is to begin meeting this part with enough presence and curiosity to understand why it exists, what it feels, and what it may need from you now.
Because the part of you that you’ve been trying to push away may be one of the very parts that needs your attention most.
After you complete the experience, you’ll be invited to reflect on what happened before, during, and after the process.
You can keep your reflection private in a journal, or share what feels appropriate in the comments below the experience.
Either way, the point is simple:
| |
Begin noticing what becomes more clear to you when you stop fighting this part of yourself and start listening. |
That is where integration begins.
Much love, Team Teal Swan
