Hi there,
In spiritual and self-help circles, people often use one phrase as the ultimate test of truth:
| |
“That doesn’t resonate with me.” |
At one level, this makes sense.
Sometimes, something does not resonate because it truly is not aligned for you.
But here is the part most people do not want to hear:
Just because something does not resonate with you does not mean it is not true.
Sometimes something does not resonate because it is wrong for you.
But sometimes it does not resonate because it is getting too close to something you don’t want to see, accept, face, or feel.
And that is where this gets dangerous.
Because when “that doesn’t resonate” becomes the final word, it can become a spiritual way to avoid your own resistance, especially anything that challenges your current identity, coping strategy, self-concept, or way of staying safe.
| ✧ |
A teaching does not resonate, so it gets dismissed. |
| ✧ |
Criticism or feedback does not resonate, so it gets rejected. |
| ✧ |
A truth or idea brings up resistance, so it gets labeled as “not for me.” |
|
When resistance comes up, most people either push through it, avoid it, or mistake it for a final answer. The deeper work is learning how to meet that resistance consciously and understand what it is protecting.
That is exactly what Teal’s Shadow Mastery Vault was created to support.
Let’s be clear. This does not mean you should talk yourself into something that feels wrong.
That would be just as dangerous.
The point is not to stop listening to yourself. The point is to listen more deeply. Spend more time understanding what your resistance, hesitation, or emotions are trying to tell you.
Instead of only asking:
| |
“Does this resonate with me?” |
A more conscious question is:
| |
“Why does this resonate with me, or why doesn’t it?” |
That question changes everything.
Because now, your reaction becomes a doorway into awareness. And if you want a guided structure for working with what you discover there, this is exactly what Teal’s Shadow Mastery Vault was created for.
It gives you a roadmap for understanding what is underneath your reactions, so you can begin to tell the difference between a true inner signal and a fear, defense, or pattern that is trying to protect you from change.
