Alpha-Level Autofocus and Processing
The RX10 V is the first camera in the RX line to feature dual BIONZ XR processors paired with a dedicated AI chip — the same combination found in Sony's flagship Alpha bodies. This enables Real-time Recognition AF+ with advanced human pose estimation and a broad subject detection database covering animals, birds, insects, vehicles and aircraft. With 575 phase-detection AF points and up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second, the RX10 V locks on fast and holds on tight, even in challenging conditions. The redesigned body — with its larger ergonomic grip, affirmative dials, and generous EVF — makes the whole experience feel unmistakably Alpha.
Serious Video in a Travel-Ready Body
The RX10 V is a genuine hybrid tool. Internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording in XAVC HS and XAVC S formats, 4K 120p slow-motion, and Dynamic Active Stabilisation give videographers professional-grade tools in a compact, travel-friendly package. Audio has been upgraded too — the Multi Interface Shoe now supports Digital Audio Interface, enabling high-quality Sony microphones without external cables or batteries. Connectivity is equally impressive: fast 5GHz Wi-Fi, 4K 30p live streaming via UVC/UAC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port delivering up to 10Gbps transfer speeds make getting footage off the camera and online faster than ever.
