Important Guarantee Update

For 72 years, weve been making high-quality drinkware that lets people enjoy their favorite beverages where they want, doing the things they love. Were proud to have remained a Florida-based, family-owned company for three generations and continue to stand behind our products with an industry-leading guarantee that has allowed us to become a trusted friend and partner to those seeking personal expression and unmatched performance.
Throughout our history, weve made no secret of our affinity for the carefree, coastal lifestyle. It has become clear, however, that we may have been a tad too carefree in the enforcement of our lifetime guarantee policy. We have allowed heavily worn and aged products, even those purchased at yard sales and thrift stores, to be easily exchanged for new products with no questions asked. This lack of enforcement on our part has resulted in the need for some clarification.
Our guarantee is intended to make it easy to enjoy your favorite Tervis design for a lifetime by ensuring that our products will be crafted with the utmost attention to quality, workmanship and detail. With this in mind, the following will take effect August 1, 2018:
  1. We will now be replacing classic double walled plastic items that we deem to be defective in workmanship on a like for like basis only, meaning a sports team tumbler will be exchanged for a tumbler of the same size and design.
  2. Stainless steel tumblers remain covered by a limited guarantee and are eligible for replacement if we confirm a lack of thermal performance. Stainless steel tumblers will also be replaced on a like for like basis only. This guarantee will apply for a period of five (5) years from the date of manufacture. Stainless items damaged due to improper care, misuse, and normal wear and tear such as chips, dents, fading or peeling, will not be replaced.
  3. We will continue to accept warranty returns in our stores and by mail and will be phasing out the coupon redemption process as a way of replacing products.
While this update adds further and much-needed clarity to our policy, it will allow us to continue to honor the best guarantee in the industry.
