It’s back! Last time we had this washed cotton slub in the shop it sold out in minutes, so we have added even more colors! This fabric is perfect for spring and summer, giving you the look of linen and the feel of cotton! Comprised of 100% cotton, this lightweight textured woven has a moderate amount of softness and drape. We envision it stitched up into anything from lightweight pants, to blouses, dresses and gathered skirts. It could even be used in place of quilting cotton in a quilt! Whatever you make, the stunning texture and feel of this fabric are sure to make it extra special!
Warmer weather has arrived, and so we have done our annual restock of Oilcloth, for all of your waterproof and outdoor project needs!
Oilcloth is a retro fabric made from cloth scrim (a poly-cotton blend), printed and treated on one side with a waterproof coating.
Unlike a simple vinyl it won’t stretch, fade, tear easily, or crack. Oilcloth is great for tablecloths, outdoor pillows, placemats, aprons, bags, and all sorts of projects!
As makers, we often find ourselves gifting handmade items to loved ones, be it quilts, bags, or handmade clothes. Along with the gratitude we receive for such gifts, we frequently are met with the same question from recipients: “How do I care for this lovely handmade item?!”. So, incase you also are a maker who loves to gift, we have stocked the shop with some adorable gift cards you can accompany your handmade gifts with! These postcard-style cards are perfect for sewn, quilted, knit, and crocheted gifts and they make sharing care instructions as simple as checking a box. The recipient will have an easy reference on how to wash the item when the time comes, and there is also space to leave a handwritten note.
