We have been very inspired watching the UTMB race - for those of you unfamiliar, UTMB is short for Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.
This is a premier ultra trail event, considered to be one of the most prestigious and challenging ultra-trail races in the world.
Runners must cover about 105 miles traversing through France, Italy, and Switzerland through extremely demanding terrain and tough weather conditions.
Additionally, unlike other endurance sports this race requires runners to be mainly self-sufficient.
Both from the gear they are carrying to the amount of fuel and hydration they require.
