The first step to lucid dreaming is remembering your dreams.

Reading other people’s dreams before bed is a great way to prime your own brain to lucid dream. So here’s one for tonight - taken from the latest issue of The Lucid Dreaming Experience, the magazine Robert Waggoner co-edits.

This one packs a lot in. Healing intentions, dismissed dream figures, flying toward a thunderstorm, and a cloud that felt like silk sheets. Ken has been at this for a while and it shows.

As always, post your dream in our Discord or just reply to this email - you could be the next one featured in the Dream Journal.

From Ken’s Dream Journal:

I was standing in the driveway of my home, right in front of my garage. I realized that I was dreaming and was amazed at the vivid details that I could see. There was a large animal, like a tiger but with a strange face, further down the driveway. It had a bowl in front of it on the ground, like a food bowl, as if it was a house cat. It was looking at me. There was a cow or something in the front yard, also looking at me.

I looked over my right shoulder at the edge of the roof of the garage and there was a large skinny gray owl looking down at me. I looked back at the large tiger animal and cow and said, “I don’t want them here.” They both immediately shrank in a swirling motion and were whisked away. That was amazing! I thought.

I looked up at the beautiful blue sky and in the distance, to the left of the driveway, was a large, isolated thunderstorm with flashing yellowgold colors here and there from internal lightning. It looked beautiful and powerful. I thought about the power of all that lightning and how I could absorb it and use it for healing my body. So, I held up my hands and said, “I want the power of this thunderstorm to heal my inner ears!” Suddenly, I started to fly towards the thunderstorm! It felt great to fly!

But... I started to feel some fear about going into the strong thunderstorm with lightning going on, so I steered myself towards a small round white cloud off to the right of it. As I neared that cloud, heading right for it, I suddenly felt fear of flying through the middle of it, since I didn’t know what’s inside or on the other side. So, I veered off to the right but held my left arm out to feel it as I flew by. It felt very smooth and soft, like silk sheets. Then I awoke in bed.

Of course, I was disappointed by my fears, since I should know that all is energy and I can’t be harmed in a lucid dream.

This is the sort of dream Robert Waggoner thinks about all the time - the energy, the healing intention, the dream figures that shrink and reshape themselves on command. No accident the dream came from his magazine.

Speaking of Robert - he is live again on Zoom next Wednesday, 3 June at 1 PM Central. If you have a question for him - especially about working with fear, or healing intentions like Ken’s - bring it along.
