The first time I saw Civita di Bagnoregio, my jaw literally dropped.
The funny thing is, when you're driving there, you can't even see it. You have no idea it's there.
Then all of a sudden, the landscape opens up. A massive valley appears beneath you. And rising out of the middle of it is an entire town sitting on top of a rock.
The first thought is: "There's no way that's real."
Honestly, it looks like something AI would generate.
Except it's been there for over 1,000 years.
Then the second thought hits: "How and why did they build this?"
The longer you stare at Civita, the more impossible it seems. The deeper you dig into its story, the more incredible it becomes.
So why isn’t it packed with tourists?
Because getting there isn’t simple.
You need to rent a car, drive for hours, figure out parking, navigate unfamiliar roads, and then do the whole thing again on the way back.
Or...
You can let someone else handle all of that.
AND get the stories most people never hear.
Cheers,
