Actor Paul Walter Hauser first carved out a place for himself in Hollywood playing weirdos and sidekicks. A character actor frequently cast as a goofball or a slow thinker, he’s appeared in films such as “I, Tonya” and series including “Cobra Kai” and “Black Bird,” which won him an Emmy in 2023. Now he’s shedding that sidekick label. He’s in three of this summer’s biggest films: “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” “The Naked Gun” and “Americana.” In the fall, he’ll appear in “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,” and soon he will star in a Chris Farley biopic, which is currently in the script phase. (Hauser has “Farley” tattooed on his right bicep.)
Like many actors, Hauser also has a side hustle—but he’s not in the business of tequila or podcasting. Instead, Hauser is living out a boyhood dream job: pro wrestler. “It’s all a way to hack out a place for himself in an entertainment industry that’s more unstable than ever and where routes to long-term success are harder to find,” John Jurgensen writes. “That goes double for actors who don’t fit the movie star mold.” Read more at the link below.
