Forres’ finest’s fabulous new flagship

A new flagship for Benromach’s signature range may not sound very exciting, but don’t discount the distillery’s excellent track record – the 12 Year Old does not disappoint in the slightest.

Entirely matured in first-fill sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering, the nose is filled with warm spice, stewed raisins and butterscotch. On the palate, a burst of fresh fruit leads to rich fruitcake and hints of cocoa, before a lingering finish that brings blackcurrant and a cooling note, interwoven by a gentle thread of smoke from first to last.

An impeccable Speyside single malt championing the lightly smoky character once ubiquitous to the region.
