Usage Techniques

  • Fish with a very slow figure-of-eight retrieve or allow to drift naturally with the wind or current.

  • Use as part of a team of three buzzers, with the heaviest on the point.

  • Do not strip the fly; keep movement slow and natural to imitate emerging buzzers.

  • Vary the depth to match where trout are feeding throughout the day.

  • Try suspending with a buoyant fly, foam indicator, or Thingamabobber for static presentation.

  • Lift and drop the rod tip slowly to mimic the natural ascent and descent of midge pupae.

  • Ideal for targeting both Rainbow and Brown Trout on reservoirs, lakes, and stillwaters.
