What I thought

I thought contour was all about dramatic sculpting that required a make-up artist's skills level only used to achieve that snatched, photoshopped look. I don’t hate that look, but it's not ME and I wasn't comfortable trying it, convinced I would mess it up and make it look muddy and, well, just a bit dirty.

What I Learned

Mineral Contour powder is not just for the super-skilled makeup girlies. It’s not even tricky, AND it actually can be used to just bring back a bit of colour and depth, giving a healthy glow. Bonus points, I even used it for a subtle day look eyeshadow.

Contour 1 creates subtle angles. Ideal for Beige shades.
Contour 2 is a good in-between for natural looking angles.
Contour 4 allows for the deepest angles and greatest contrast.

Pick up colour
Using our perfectly sized and shaped Angled Contour Brush, pick up a little Contour powder with the pointy end of the brush

Apply to the side of your face
Apply the powder to the furthest side of your face, close to ear and hairline first and then blend upwards towards your cheekbones

Blending into eyelids and forehead
Use what is left on your brush to add subtle shadow to eyelids. Blend more contour powder into your hairline across your forehead.
