The Barnes is our titanium framelock integral design. It's CNC-machined from one solid billet of 6AL4V titanium, which means fewer parts, less maintenance, and the ability to do things that you can't do in standard "sandwich" knife construction. It's equal parts a fully functional tool and work of art. The Barnes generally doesn't last long on the shelf, so check out all versions while they're available.

Introducing the Barnes: Black Micarta + Damasteel

The Barnes is a pretty amazing product, but we've pushed the limits even further with this new, uber-limited version. With our first use of Damasteel on the Barnes, and with new Micarta inlays, including an inlay on the spine, this version is nothing short of incredible. Like all versions of the Barnes, it ships in a wooden gift box, complete with a TJB cleaning cloth and challenge coin. The Barnes Black Micarta + Damasteel is a limited run of just 20 units.

Damasteel: A True Super Steel

Damasteel® is a hot isostatic pressed powder metallurgy-made steel. Sound complicated? It is, but it means that you get the beautiful aesthetic of a Damascus steel, combined with the performance characteristics of more traditional high-end knife steels. Most Damascus steels require a lot of maintenance in order to keep them corrosion-free, but the care of Damasteel® is in line with other high-end traditional steels: just keep it dry and clean. It has amazing edge retention properties, while being low-maintenance and beautiful. It is truly the best of both worlds.
