FASHION: Is it getting hot in here? (Here being the cottage.) Spicy cottagecore is the perfect trend to save your closet for the summer. Frolic in the fields or look your best for brunch in this gingham dress, or this beautiful lace and floral option. Even your shoes can get the cottagecore treatment with these laces. Commune with some squirrels and cozy up with a good book in loungewear that would make even Snow White blush.
WELLNESS: It’s in the air—the office air, that is. If you leave the house with your makeup perfectly done, only to look in the mirror at your office a few hours later to see a totally different face, you’re not alone. The phenomenon known as “office air” is the talk of TikTok. Experts say that the effect is likely the result of the super dry conditions in offices, as well as the stress of work literally showing on our faces. Fun! The good news is that there are things you can do to help, like enlisting moisturizing products like a facial mist or lip mask to stay moisturized. 🫦 For the less cosmetic problems, they recommend checking your boundaries at work.

We hate to admit it, but Women’s History Month is almost over. We’re ending it with a bang, though! How? You’ll have to read on to find out exactly how Katie Davis (she/her), CEO and founder of Banana Split, is making history.
You've founded a super cool brand, but before we get into that: What’s something that people may not know about you?
I’m really passionate about creating supportive, sex-positive spaces where sapphics feel safe exploring pleasure and asking questions. Making spaces—whether physical or virtual—that center around sapphic desire can be incredibly powerful in helping us overcome that fear and learn to express ourselves.
Banana Split is a sexual wellness brand tailored to sapphic and lesbian partnerships. What inspired you to create this?
I founded Banana Split because I was frustrated with how few sex toys are designed intentionally for sapphic couples even though we use them more than any other group. It was frustrating to see how our needs were more of an afterthought than a priority, especially when it comes to partner toys. For sapphics, partner toys can be especially meaningful because of how logistically complicated simultaneous pleasure can be for us. Yet, according to my market research, 78% of sapphics struggle to use existing partner toys due to sizing issues. So when I had the idea of making partner toys more versatile and accessible, I knew I wanted to bring Banana Split to life.
What's been the hardest and most rewarding part of disrupting the sex toy industry?
As a young woman with no experience in business, I felt like I didn’t belong among the amazing innovators in the sexual wellness space. One of my greatest challenges was learning how to take up space and ask for help. Every time I reached out for advice and support, I couldn’t help but think, “What if they felt obligated to say yes and secretly resented me?”
As I started reaching out to the women and queer people in the industry who inspired me, I realized they were genuinely excited to share their experience and wanted to see Banana Split succeed. It was so rewarding to discover—and become part of—this little community of sexual wellness creators and advocates working together toward a shared mission. I don’t think I could’ve come this far and overcome my impostor syndrome without the guidance and support I was lucky to receive.
In honor of running this feature during Women’s History Month, is there a woman who’s made history that has inspired you?
I think one of my biggest inspirations is Audre Lorde, especially her writing on the power of the “erotic”—the idea that when we give ourselves permission to explore pleasure, we also unlock a deeper understanding of our capacity for joy in every part of our lives. That concept really reinforced for me how important it is to try to help one another overcome shame and stigma surrounding our sexuality and desire—it can be truly life-changing.
