One of a kind bronze temple style gongs from Nepal.
Dearest Ohmies,
Now available to you, is a release of 15 one of a kind, bronze temple style gongs from Nepal.
Nepali-style temple gongs have a warm, hand-hammered sound with a strong low center, a complex shimmer, and a long natural decay. They sound more earthy and textured than polished.
Made by hand in Nepal, entirely starting from an ingot of bell metal bronze, then each is adorned with a one of one design that Lauren and I have envisioned.
We’ve currently only made one of each design, and we welcome the opportunity to get you one of these today.
Please scroll down to see each gong in the collection, and then you can listen to the exact sound recording for each gong, and see videos and photos for each.
You’ll receive the exact gong you see and hear.
Welcome one now.

Gong 12: The figure, the field, and the low devotional voice.
This is the one I would show you first. It has a seated deity figure surrounded by lotus, vine, cloud, and water-like ornament, all worked into a dark bronze field. Sonically it is heavy and centered, with a deep A#2 carrying the body of the sound and a brief upper shimmer at the front before it settles into a long, bass-weighted sustain.

Choose by ear first.
The image matters. The iconography matters. But the sound is the instrument. Listen to the recording on each product page and choose the one that keeps your attention after the strike has already happened.
