David Ellison swears he won’t abandon LA real estate

 Amid Paramount’s merger plans for Warner Bros, Ellison vows “to build a stronger Hollywood”

After an agreement was reached in an antitrust case, the Paramount-Warner Bros merger appears to be on. As part of the proposed settlement, which still needs court approval, Paramount can’t sell its studio lot on Melrose Avenue or Warner Bros’ on Warner Boulevard — at least not yet.

Monday’s settlement, and later Ellison’s promise to stay in L.A., cleared up the immediate threat of departure but Tinseltown consolidation means panic isn’t over for the soundstage industry.
