Fancy getting out into nature and a series of celebrity talks without actually leaving the city? Don’t we all!
Good news for you, then, that it’s all part of Dacia’s City Escape, which arrives on the South Bank this month and brings with it the tranquility of nature and no less than 10 sessions by expert speakers and starry guests. It’s all to celebrate the authentic outdoor spirit of Dacia, the automotive icon synonymous with providing modern, reliable and affordable cars to everyone.
The two-day pop-up from July 23-24 at Bernie Square Gardens will be home to a central Yurt that will play host to Dacia’s Everyday Adventure Sessions featuring the likes of broadcaster and explorer Monty Halls, comedian and avid birder Jim Moir, endurance cyclist Sarah Ruggins and singer-songwriter and outdoor-lover Lucy Spraggan.
Elsewhere, Dacia’s range of cars will be taking pride of place – including a first look at high-performance hybrid Dacia Striker before its official launch in 2027 – while a pair of bell tents will house cutting-edge virtual reality that will enable you to soak up sweeping panoramas of mountain views and beauty spots slap-bang in the middle of London.
Then there are spaces to unwind – lounge seating, great coffee – and plenty of entertainment for the kids including treasure-hunting and map-reading. And did we mention the remote-controlled mini Sandriders inspired by the purpose-built rally raid race car? Get behind the wheel and tear around a custom-built sand track and battle it out for a chance to win your very own miniature version (who says you have to let children win?!).
With something for everyone – adventurer, family or car fan – Dacia’s City Escape is a chance to go away without getting away. Start your engines!
