How are you spending your evenings this summer? Why not bring history to life with a night like no other at The Roman Baths, one of the UK’s most famed historic attractions? Just 80 minutes from London Paddington, consider this your opportunity to discover the magic of the 2000-year-old Roman Baths at their Summer Lates. Oh, and did we mention you can do that with a glass of bubbly in hand?
Open until 10pm every day from July 20 to August 31, the site and award-winning museum are open to explore at your own pace. Experience the Great Bath illuminated by torchlight and grab a drink from the pop-up bar serving a selection of bubbles, wine and beer, plus soft drinks and ice cream – time travel can make for thirsty work, after all. Pick up an audioguide or book a guided tour (for an extra charge) to find out what life was really like in Roman Britain.
Then, at the weekend, chill out with live music sessions. On Fridays and Saturdays, DJs like Ishmael Ensemble, Katie Novo and Tina Edwards will provide a laidback soundtrack with vinyl sets, while on Sundays, you can catch stripped-back performances by musicians including Young Martyrs and Steve Cradock.
Tickets include full access to The Roman Baths and live music performances on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Make this your summer to discover something new immersed in the past at The Roman Baths.
