| To celebrate our seasonal concept, Marking the Turn, third-generation grain weaver Lu Towle has created intricate installations for our shops inspired by the harvest.
Traditionally, these intricate favours were made from the last sheaf of wheat, intended to hold and protect the 'spirit of the harvest' through the winter months.
In rural Nottinghamshire, Lu Towle carefully weaves tokens from wheat straw; her life is intertwined with the harvest. To mark the seasonal turn, we join Lu for an exploration of corn dolly making, capturing the processes and conversations around this inherited rural tradition.
