Paul joined TAC at 68.

And when he wrote to me, he was still very much a beginner.

In his words:

"I can barely hit the G chord consistently and smoothly."

Then a few sentences later, he said:

"I suspect I'm hooked."

I love those two sentences together.

Because we tend to think guitar works the other way around.

First you struggle.

Then you practice.

Then eventually you get good enough to enjoy it.

But why wait?

Paul isn't waiting until his G chord is perfect to enjoy playing guitar.

He's already having fun while he's learning it.

So here's something worth asking yourself:

What if enjoying guitar isn't the reward you get after becoming a good player?

What if enjoying it is how you become one?

That's a big part of how we've built TAC: you don't have to wait until you're "good enough" to start having fun with your guitar.
