Mark joined TAC as a complete beginner.

During his first week, he noticed something he wasn't expecting.

His wife had been politely tolerating his guitar practice.

Then this happened:

“My wife actually sat beside me and enjoyed listening as the songs started coming together.”

That's a pretty great milestone.

Not mastering a song.

Not learning 20 chords.

Just reaching that first moment where what you're doing starts to sound like music.

I think that's one of the things traditional guitar lessons get backwards.

You don't need months of exercises before you get to experience the fun part.

You need enough guidance to start making music now — even while you're still learning.

Because hearing something recognizable come out of your own guitar changes the whole experience.

And apparently, sometimes your spouse notices too. :)
