S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow futures pause with US-Iran peace
and inflation in focus
US stock futures hit pause on Monday as investors
assessed signs of progress in US-Iran peace talks and
prepared for a pivotal inflation report later this week.
S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1%, while those on the Dow
Jones Industrial Average traded flat.
Contracts on the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 were also little
changed as Wall Street set up for a muted open after
Friday's holiday closure.
There has been "encouraging progress" in peace talks
with the US in Switzerland, Iran said on Monday, with an
agreed roadmap to sealing a final deal within 60 days.
That eased some nerves prompted by President Trump's
threat of strikes on Iran if Tehran doesn't rein in
Hezbollah's actions against Israel.

Investors sold the stock after Accenture tightened its
full-year growth target, Berenberg cut Cognizant to Hold
from Buy, and the June 22 Nasdaq-100 exit hung over the
name.

the Nasdaq Composite added 1.91% ahead of the Friday

🌍 Soaring Profits in Emerging Markets Build Case for
a Raging Bull Market
Companies in the MSCI EM Index have reported average
annual earnings above expectations set a year ago for
the first time since April 2022, according to data
compiled by Bloomberg.
Asian tech firms are driving the results, but profits
are also improving in other sectors of the market, like
Indian oil refiners and Brazilian electricity companies.
With emerging-market stocks riding gains of nearly 30%
this year, evidence of healthy profit growth is
signaling to bulls that the rally is being built on
solid fundamentals, rather than speculative froth.
That's prompting investors like Morgan Stanley and
JPMorgan Chase & Co. to predict that gains will spread
beyond artificial intelligence-related stocks.

☁️ CoreWeave stock moves up as it eyes Nasdaq-100
after 17% weekly gain
CoreWeave opens Monday with a new spot in the Nasdaq-100
and a stock up 17.3% over the last five sessions.
That gives the market its next read on demand for AI
infrastructure names. U.S. trading was closed Friday for
Juneteenth, with markets still shut through the weekend.
Monday is the first regular session after the holiday.
CoreWeave, the AI cloud firm, is set to join the
Nasdaq-100 ahead of the market open on June 22.
The Nasdaq-100 tracks 100 of the largest non-financial
names on the Nasdaq.
Nasdaq says funds and products tied to the index control
more than $800 billion in assets worldwide.
That forces index funds to buy shares of companies as
they’re added.

Support and Resistance Is Context, Not Strategy
After 30 years in markets, here's what I've learned: a
line on a chart is not a trade. A level only becomes
worth acting on when multiple independent things
converge at the same price — a prior high or low, a
moving average, a Gann or harmonic retracement, an
active trend line.
I call that a cluster. I always start on the weekly
chart and work down, because a weekly level carries far
more structural weight than anything on a shorter
timeframe. And when a breakout happens, I never chase it
— I wait for the retest of the broken level, which gives
me confirmation, a cleaner entry, and an obvious stop.
Stop asking whether a level exists. Start asking what
else is happening there.
