US, Iran agree to ceasefire, sending stock futures
higher and oil lower
The US announced on Sunday that it reached a deal with
Iran to end hostilities in the four-month-long war that
has roiled the global market, calling for the reopening
of the Strait of Hormuz as soon as Friday.
The news sent oil futures lower and stock futures higher
as investors welcomed the news.
"The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now
complete," President Trump wrote on Truth Social, "I
hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the
Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith,
authorize the immediate removal of the United States
Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines.
Let the oil flow!"
Trump added in a later statement on social media that
the Strait of Hormuz would reopen on Friday for demining
purposes.

💽 AMD Stock Jumps as Citi Sees Bigger AI GPU Upside
From Meta Deal
Advanced Micro Devices shares moved back into focus
after Citi analyst Atif Malik upgraded the stock to Buy
from Neutral and raised the firm’s price target to $575
from $460, with the latest available quote showing AMD
at $511.57, up $22.91, or about 4.7%, from the previous
close.
A price target is an analyst’s estimate of where a stock
could trade over a set period, and Citi’s new target
implies about 12% upside from the latest quoted price.
The upgrade matters because it challenges a key market
debate around AMD: whether investors should still value
the company mainly as a central processing unit, or CPU,
supplier, or increasingly as a serious AI accelerator
competitor.
A GPU, or graphics processing unit, is a chip used
heavily in artificial intelligence workloads because it
can process many calculations at once.
Investor’s Business Daily and MarketWatch both reported
that Citi’s thesis centers on AMD’s GPU opportunity and
its potential role as a major supplier to Meta
Platforms.

Why Most Traders Are Using Support and Resistance
the
Wrong Way
Support and resistance is the first thing most traders
learn — and in my view, one of the most misunderstood
concepts in retail trading.
In my latest TradeZero breakdown, I explain why a single
horizontal line is context, not strategy.
What turns a
level into a tradeable idea is confluence: a moving
average, a Gann retracement, a channel boundary, or a
trend line all converging at the same price. One level
in isolation tends to age out and fail.
I also cover why
I never trade the initial break of a level, why a flat
200-day moving average carries far less weight than a
sloping one, and why volume is a much less reliable
signal than most traders believe.
After 30 years in
markets, my core message is simple: hoping a level holds
is not a framework. Confluence is.
