Bus timetable changes for
Redlands, Sunshine Coast and University of QLD

From Monday 20 September, there’ll be some changes to bus timetables in the Redlands and Sunny Coast areas, as well as bus routes servicing the University of Queensland, to improve bus service reliability and frequency.  If you catch the bus in these areas, please check how these changes may affect your journey.

The 250 bus is about to change

From Monday 20 September, we’re making changes to route 250 due to upcoming construction works for the Brisbane Metro project that affect where buses can travel and stop.

Changes for the 250 include:

  • all trips will travel between Redland Bay and Carindale only, creating a consistent stopping pattern
  • 66 new trips are being added each week (between Redland Bay and Carindale)
  • 15-minute service frequency during parts of peak and 30-minutes off-peak
  • increased span of hours
  • improved ferry and train connections.

We're also making minor changes to two other Redlands bus services including adding a new express route 267 (Brisbane City to Alexandra Hills) trip and making route 243 (Capalaba to Brisbane City) more reliable by changing where it stops at the Sleeman Centre.

University of Queensland bus changes

Services to and from the University of Queensland (UQ) campus at St Lucia are changing on Monday 20 September due to the end of the two-year extra services trial.

Route 28 is being permanently added between UQ Lakes and Langlands Park, along with additional early morning and late-night services on route 66. They will join the more than 1,400 trips already servicing UQ each week.

If you catch routes 28, 29, 66, 169 or 402, please re-plan your travel for Monday 20 September, as service frequencies and timetables will be changing.

Sunshine Coast school holiday bus timetables

To better reflect traffic conditions and travel times during school holidays, some bus timetables on the Sunshine Coast will change from Monday 20 September to Friday 1 October.

Please check your timetable before travelling, as your bus may depart at a different time. You can use the MyTransLink app, check your timetable at your stop, or on our website.

Our real-time tracking technology updates bus departure times every 10 seconds, so you'll know exactly when your bus is due to arrive.
