KittyCat ferry

CityHopper and Cross River services return

Cross River and CityHopper ferries services will resume from Sunday 15 November while Brisbane City Council (BCC) continues to assess the timber ferry fleet.

Five new modern KittyCats will run on these services, meaning a new faster timetable will be in place.

Some terminal stops will also be changed to accommodate the new KittyCats.

New timetables and maps will be available closer to 15 November.

Please check our website to plan your travel before you sail.

Citylink Cycleway trial – CBD bus stop changes

Some Brisbane CBD bus stops will change in coming weeks to make way for dedicated cycle lanes as part of the CityLink Cycleway trial.

If your bus uses these stops, please check to see where your service will now arrive or depart:

The Citylink Cycleway trial is a joint initiative of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government.

The trial aims to deliver a network of dedicated cycling facilities to support the increasing number of people choosing active transport, and to help reduce the need for car-based travel into the city centre.

Tesla power wall at Transdev Queensland

Beautiful one day, solar-powered the next

Our delivery partner Transdev is set to trial a new electric bus powered solely by the Queensland sunshine!

The new bus is quiet and energy efficient and has an on-board battery that will allow it to travel up to 300km.

The bus is recharged by a purpose-built array of 10 Tesla power walls installed at Transdev's Capalaba depot, which are themselves fed by 250 solar panels on the depot's roof.

The new 39 seat e-bus will commence operation early next year on TransLink bus routes throughout the Redlands and Brisbane areas.

Take a closer look at the Trandev's bus depot for the new electric bus.
