Tropical Traditions Pure Coconut Oil

Tropical Traditions 100% pure coconut oil is produced in the Philippines. This high quality coconut oil is made from coconuts in rural areas of the Philippines far away from large cities. This is a traditional coconut oil with no chemical processing, and tested for the presence of glyphosate.

Brian Shilhavy discovered this premium coconut oil while living in the Philippines. The coconut oil is produced in local coconut oil mills which is supplied by coconut producers from the same area of the Philippines where the Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is produced.

The coconut oil is produced by the expeller-pressed method using a mechanical extraction process. No solvent extracts such as hexane are used in the refining process. This 100% pure coconut oil is a popular local product in the Philippines, and Tropical Traditions is the only one exporting it into the US market.

We feel this premium coconut oil rivals many of the more expensive coconut oils in the market in both quality and taste. The taste of this coconut oil is very bland due to it being steam deodorized. This coconut oil provides a very neutral and consistent flavor to foods.

We used to offer a certified organic version of this coconut oil, but stopped doing so because we feel that the standards of the U.S. NOP (National Organic Program) have become too watered down to accommodate Big Food and allow them to prosper from the certification. The coconuts that are sourced to produce this pure coconut oil come from the volcanic rich soil of Quezon Province in the Philippines, from the same areas where our organic farmers provide organic coconuts to produce our Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil.

Most liquid soaps you find have added ingredients to make them thicker in consistency. Tropical Traditions Natural Liquid Soaps are made from 100% organic Virgin Coconut Oil, and nothing else. The scented varieties have organic essential oils added. These are packaged in a special foam pump dispenser that adds air to the soap, causing a rich lather of foam to come out.

Because of this special foam dispenser, and a pure liquid soap with no added fillers or thickening agents, you get more uses per container. Use our economical 32 oz. refill sizes to refill your pump dispensers.

Natural Soaps from Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil

The key to any healthy, natural soap is the oil that is used as the base. Tropical Traditions soaps are made with Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil as their base, and the scented varieties use only high-quality organic essential oils.

There are very few soaps made from 100% coconut oil, and most soaps on the market today that are made from coconut oil are made from highly refined versions of these oils, and may contain chemical solvents that were used in the refining process.

Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is traditionally made from fresh organic coconuts, and independent laboratory tests show that it has a higher level of antioxidants than other coconut oils. While other coconut oil soaps may exist in the market place containing refined coconut oil, few if any will be made with high quality Virgin Coconut Oil.
