Studied for years. Still can’t speak.

“I’ve been studying English for years. I can read it. I can write it. I just can’t speak it.”

Here’s the reason: studying and speaking are different skills. You can’t read your way into fluency. You can’t write your way into it either. You have to use the language. Every day.
