Every step you take at Dusk to Dawn helps UNICEF be there for children whose lives have been turned upside down by conflict, disasters and other emergencies. Children like Mohamed.
At just 13 years old, Mohamed had already lost years of his education.
Conflict forced his family from their home in Syria, leaving them living in a camp where Mohamed spent years without access to school while recovering from serious injuries caused by an unexploded remnant of war.
"I always felt inferior," Mohamed says.
Then a UNICEF-supported mobile education team arrived.
For the first time in years, Mohamed had the chance to learn again, catch up on his education and rebuild his confidence.
"When I heard the news, I was overwhelmed. Finally, I had a chance to catch up."
Today, Mohamed is thriving. He studies every day, helps teach his younger brothers and recently achieved one of the highest scores in his class.
This November, you can help children like Mohamed by taking on UNICEF’s Dusk to Dawn.
Walk 42km overnight across Sydney, from North Sydney to Bondi, crossing the Harbour Bridge under the stars and finishing at sunrise. Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps UNICEF deliver lifesaving support to children affected by conflict, disasters and other emergencies.
Whether you're looking for a personal challenge or a meaningful way to make a difference, this is your chance to be part of something bigger.
