2To qualify for cashback you must complete your switch to the British Gas Fixed Tariff v34 via the Uswitch website between 6am 25 February 2025 and 11:59pm 6 March 2025. Once you have completed your switch, Uswitch will send you an email with a cashback redemption link. You need to click on the redemption link within 7 days of receiving the email in order to confirm your redemption. 3The price cap sets the maximum rates suppliers can charge standard variable tariff customers for their energy. The cap changes every three months as decided by Ofgem. The price cap will increase by 6.4% from £1,738 to £1,849 on 1 April 2025 and is predicted to stay high for the rest of the year. 7To take part in PeakSave Sundays, you’ll need to be a British Gas customer and have a smart meter. You’ll also need to join PeakSave via British Gas. You’ll pay your daily standing charge at your normal rate. This will not be discounted. Customers will receive a credit on their account or meter related to their electricity usage, calculated by using your smart meter readings. The number of units of electricity used will be multiplied by 50% of your tariff rate after VAT.
