This Trick Really Delivers

A signed card vanishes from a sealed deck box and appears in an impossible location. No double lifts. No complicated moves. No switches. 

If that sounds too good to be true, it isn’t. 

It’s The Deliverance by Matthew Wright and Harry Robson, a devilishly simple gimmick that allows you to retrieve a signed card from a completely sealed card box. 

You have a card selected, signed, and placed halfway into the deck, so that they can see their card as you place the cards into the card box. Then the participant pushes their card all the way in, and the box is closed; the flap is secured with a sticker that they can sign.

It may seem impossible, but at any moment, you can instantly retrieve their chosen card. Even though it is lost in the middle of the deck. Even though it’s inside the box. Even though that box is sealed with a sticker that they signed.

To make it even more impossible, the sealed card box can be placed into a paper bag and wrapped in tape, and you’re still able to retrieve it. 

Being able to steal a signed selection whenever you want means that you can make it show up almost anywhere you want. Make it appear in your wallet, your shoe, an envelope, in another card box, inside a bank vault. (Okay, that last one may be tricky, but you get the point.)
