Champagne growth, English sparkling scale, and a long-aged bourbon release

Laurent-Perrier returned to growth in 2025–26, with sales up 4.2% to €294.8 million and operating profit also moving higher. That is a strong look for a premium Champagne house in a market that has been dealing with softer overall conditions. The movement is showing up where it matters most: at the house level, with a major name still finding room to expand.

Chapel Down sold more than one million bottles of English sparkling wine in 2025, with revenue up 19% to £19.4 million, supermarket sales up 38%, and international sales up 49%. The company also returned to a pre-tax profit and pointed to another step up in net sales for 2026. English sparkling has been building for a while, but numbers like these make the category look a lot less niche than it did a few years ago.

To mark Eddie Russell’s 45th anniversary at Wild Turkey, Russell’s Reserve released a special 13-Year bottling that includes whiskey as old as 18 years, bottled at 121.2 proof and priced at $200. It comes with the kind of details collectors tend to notice: mature stock, limited release, and a label that already has a following. Some bottles arrive with a lot of noise around them. This one arrives with age, patience, and a name people already trust.
