GLP-1s can make food feel optional.
That’s useful. Until protein becomes optional too.
I keep seeing it in clinic: people eating “less” so well they end up on 40–50g protein a day.
Then comes the tiredness. The nausea. The constipation. That weird hollow feeling nobody bought the medication for.
During weight loss, some of what you lose can be muscle. Protein helps protect what you actually want to keep.
So, aim for 1.2–1.6g per kg daily. About 85–110g if you’re 70kg.
Take protein early (soon after waking). Fibre and water too.
