Widely revered as the quintessential expression of Saint-Julien, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou continues to command its position as one of the elite Chateaux of the Left Bank. Taking its name from the "beautiful stones" and deep gravel layers that define its spectacular terroir along the Gironde estuary, this historic 1855 Second Growth is celebrated for producing wines of towering power, perfect harmony, and exceptional longevity.
The newly released 2025 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is quintessential, offering breadth balanced by precision and purity. The growing cycle culminated in the earliest, and the longest, harvest in the estate's history, allowing the grapes to achieve perfect maturity under dry, stable conditions. Because of strict parcel selection and historically low yields of just 20 to 22 hectoliters per hectare, this vintage possesses a rare, built-in concentration balanced beautifully by controlled alcohol levels and structural tension.
The final blend features 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot, capturing an extraordinarily vibrant fruit purity. On the palate, it delivers a spectacular, multi-layered display of sensuous, silky black fruit, graphite, and exotic spices, framed by beautifully sculpted, powdery tannins. The expansive finish carries its power with weightless elegance and a freshness unique to the 2025 vintage. "One of the highlights of the year." - Antonio Galloni.
