Since 1999, the Hamburg Photography Triennial has been regarded as one of the most important international platforms for those who view photography as a socially relevant art form. WhiteWall has supported the event as a production partner for the past six years.

This year’s edition is centred around the curatorial theme “Alliance, Infinity, Love – in the Face of the Other” and explores the unifying and transformative power of photography. We are not only continuing this collaboration but also bringing it into your home: together with the Deichtorhallen Hamburg, we are presenting an exclusive limited edition by artist and filmmaker Jasmina Cibic.

Jasmina Cibic will be participating in the Hamburg Photography Triennial in 2026. With her series The Gallery of Non-Aligned (2023), she explores art as a diplomatic instrument. Set against vividly coloured backgrounds, the works combine historical symbolism with a contemporary visual language.

The edition artwork, “The Gallery of Non-Aligned”, is available in two exclusive handcrafted versions, each limited to 100 pieces.

For the production of this limited edition, Jasmina Cibic visited our workshop in person and gained first-hand insight into the craftsmanship behind her works.

She was particularly impressed by the precision of the production process and the people behind WhiteWall: “At a time when many photographic labs are closing and the medium is often described as declining, it’s incredibly encouraging to see a place like this – so alive, collaborative, and precise.”

Born in Slovenia, Jasmina Cibic lives and works in London. Through film, photography, installation, and performance, she explores how art and culture are used as instruments of political power, particularly during periods of social and ideological change.

She represented Slovenia at the 55th Venice Biennale. Her work has been exhibited at institutions including MoMA New York, Museum der Moderne Salzburg, macLYON, the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and the High Line in New York.

The 9th Hamburg Photography Triennial will take place from 5 June to 22 September 2026 under the curatorial theme “Alliance, Infinity, Love – in the Face of the Other”, developed by Art Director Mark Sealy.
