Right now, there's a bracket taped to the wall outside my office in Miami. Flags, names and some good-natured trash talk scribbled in the margins. The World Cup is here, and we've built our own version of it down the hall.
I'm backing Austria, naturally. The consensus in the office (and the rest of the world, it seems) is Spain, and the team is usually right. Maybe hope is a strategy.

Spain handed us one more headline this month. I'm an avid Formula 1 fan, and this month I watched my favorite driver, Lewis Hamilton, take his first win for Ferrari in Barcelona. What made it even more significant is exactly 30 years earlier, on the same Spanish ground, Michael Schumacher scored his first Ferrari win too. I got to watch them both, 30 years apart, with the same look on my face.
I look forward to the Prix du Monde every year. My schedule doesn’t always align, but next year, with both Wind Spirit and Star Legend calling in Monaco for race week, I might finally have my excuse.
A yacht is a very good place to talk tire strategy. And to skip the traffic.
