Dear -,

France once again anchors the list, led by Bordeaux’s 2022s, hailed for their opulence and brightness despite a hot, dry year. Dozens of Châteaux earned top rankings, reinforcing Bordeaux’s enduring global reach. Burgundy, the Rhône, and Alsace also feature prominently, underscoring the strength of France’s 2023 vintage.
Italy continues to shine, with both Tuscany and Piedmont producing standout wines. Brunello di Montalcino’s 2020 vintage delivered several high scorers, including Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona Pianrosso and Siro Pacenti Vecchie Vigne, wines that showcase the harmony and longevity defining this release. In the north, Ceretto’s Barolo Brunate 2021 represents Piedmont’s precision and power, while Pieropan Soave Classico La Rocca 2023, named Italian White Wine of the Year, illustrates Veneto’s refined white wine tradition.
From the United States, California and Oregon made a strong showing, led by Pinot Noir.
