Massive scores for this single vineyard bottling from 2nd growth Chateau Durfort-Vivens!
Sourced from a select parcel on the northern plateau of Margaux, Le Plateau is Château Durfort-Vivens' terroir-driven cuvée, showcasing the estate's commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture.

The 2021 opens with fragrant blackberry, black cherry, and plum, accented by orange zest, tobacco leaf, crushed violets, and subtle graphite. On the palate, vibrant red and black fruits are framed by silky tannins, bright acidity, and a refined mineral backbone that carries through to a long, savory finish.
While approachable in its youth, this has the balance and structure to evolve beautifully over the next decade or more.
Grab as much of this as you can!
"A plateau in the north of Margaux gives a highly aromatic wine, its black fruits and acidity with weight and intense ripeness. The wine will be ready from 2027. Organic and biodynamic. -RV" - 94 Points Wine Enthusiast
"Le Plateau, the northern part of the vineyard, is much softer and creamier, with beautiful suavity." - 94 Points La Revue Du Vin De France
"The 2021 Le Plateau de Durfort-Vivens is almost all Cabernet Sauvignon, as the Merlot was decimated by frost. Powerful and explosive in the glass, the 2021 offers up an exotic mélange of dark-toned fruit, gravel, incense, tobacco, licorice and crushed rocks. Give this time to soften." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
