Boards and gear arriving daily, local water community springing to life, and temps as manic as a squirrel on espresso in a room full of spinning ceiling fans, it can only mean one thing, that glorious transition from Spring to Summer is officially here.

The hardest part right now? Not “accidentally” claiming all the new gear for ourselves before it even hits the floor for y’all to snag. Fresh boards, fins, foils, wetsuits, apparel and enough shiny new toys to make any beach bum weak in the knees are rolling through the doors daily. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your setup, now’s the time to swing by before the good stuff disappears faster than a parking spot at the Burlington Su rf Club on a sunny Saturday.

Heading into the weekend, Saturday is shaping up to hit peak pleasure levels weather wise. Sunshine, warmer temps and those early summer vibes have us digging out the coolers, unfolding the beach chairs, and putting that summer playlist on repeat. It’s the kind of weekend that starts with coffee and checking the conditions and somehow ends with salty hair, sunburnt noses, and stories that get slightly exaggerated by Sunday morning. This is your official warning to clear the schedule and lean all the way into an epic weekend. Whether you’re chasing clean lines, cruising flatwater, pumping up a wing or just soaking up the first real taste of summer, this weekend has “memory maker” written all over it.

Swing on down Pine Street to WND&WVS Surf Shop, check out the fresh arrivals, talk story with the crew and gear up for what looks like an absolute stunner of a weekend. Summer’s knocking, might as well answer barefoot. We'll see you all in or on the water!

Young Inventor Plans To Stop 90% Of Floating Sea Plastic By 2040 A 16 year old went scuba diving, saw more plastic than fish, and basically said, “Yeah… I’m gonna fix that.” Now Dutch inventor Boyan Slat and his nonprofit The Ocean Cleanup are using giant floating barriers an d robotic river “interceptors” to stop ocean plastic before it spreads with a goal of removing 90% of floating sea plastic by 2040. It’s like a sci-fi cleanup mission, except it’s real! Read the full story, here

Foil Fever

Maui Drift - Duotone Set on the island of Maui, this episode with Finn & Jeffrey Spencer and Maria Behrens brings together Wing Foiling, Downwinding and Parawing in their purest form blending high energy sessions with the slower in between moments that make them unforgettable. From long open ocean glides to playful bumps and clean wave lines, it’s all about reading the conditions, flowing with the ocean and embracing the feeling of modern foiling. Featuring endless glide, surfy lines and the unique rhythm of life on Maui, this is more than just a session, it’s a glimpse into the freedom that connects every foiling discipline.

Wave Watch

Gwynnik - Finisterre This final chapter, Gwynnik, is a return home. A slowing down. A reflection on the importance of family. The name, meaning “little fair one” in Cornish, honours the arrival of Mike’s little blonde children and the new rhythm they’ve brought to his life. Filmed over two years across Cornwall and Brittany, it’s a visual record of Mike’s evolving relationship with the ocean. After years of travelling the world as a professional surfer, he’s now more rooted in West Penwith, where his connection to the sea has shifted - less about chasing perfect waves, more about the holistic experience of being in the water.
