Curious about skipping the dreaded car drop-off line and riding with your kid to school? Take it from us – it’s worth it if you can swing it! Here are our top tips:
⏰ Build in some buffer time. Reduce your stress (and theirs) and leave earlier than you have to. This also allows you to stop and check out whatever your kid spots along the way (like a butterfly or a cool rock).
🚲 Have a plan for their bike. Some parents help their child lock up their bike at school, others take it back home strapped to a cargo bike or inside a bike trailer. Maybe your gym teacher has a spot for it.
📍 Practice the route ahead of time. Going to school, especially after a summer break, can be a tough adjustment. But if they’ve already mastered the ride beforehand, the commute will be smooth sailing.
