We’re reaching out to share an important Wyndham Rewards update with advance notice so you have time to plan.
Starting Sep. 15, 2026, we’re expanding to four free night redemption tiers: 5,000, 15,000, 30,000, and 45,000 points per bedroom per night. This means free nights will now start at 5,000 points (instead of 7,500) while a small number of our most elevated hotels will move to a new tier of 45,000 points.
At the same time, hotels will be redistributed across all tiers. While many will stay at their current tier, others will move—some lower, some higher—with the vast majority spanning the 5,000-, 15,000-, and 30,000-point levels.
Why We’re Making Changes
- Our program has evolved significantly since we first introduced three fixed redemption tiers.
- In that time, we’ve added hundreds of luxury, lifestyle, and all-inclusive hotels.
- These changes reflect that growth while staying true to what we know members value most.
What’s Not Changing
- Our simple, fixed redemption structure with no dynamic pricing or increases based on seasonality.
- Thousands of free night options across our three lowest tiers: 5,000, 15,000, and 30,000.
- Our commitment to simplicity and getting the most out of your points.
We recognize these changes may impact upcoming travel plans. If you’ve been planning a trip, now is a great time to book and lock in the best rates. Most hotels can be reserved up to a year in advance.
Bookings made with points prior to Sep. 15 will be honored at the current rate. Should your plans change, you can cancel in accordance with the hotel's cancellation policy and have your points redeposited. If a booking made prior to the update drops in rate, the difference in points will be automatically returned.
