Yakoda may look like a big company from the outside—a lot of products, and we do our fair share of marketing which is probably why. But day to day, it’s just eight of us showing up at our shop in Louisville, Colorado. It’s Jason and me (Justin), Lincoln who joined not long after we started, and Chris, Drew, Aaron, Rich, and Sean rounding out the team (you can even leave a tip to stock the beer fridge for those five when you checkout on the website). Everything we make comes directly from how we actually fish. The gear, flies, and apparel we design get tested on the local rivers we fish together after work and on weekends. So on Small Business Saturday, we want to say thank you for helping keep a small Colorado business alive and pushing forward. Our Black Friday Sale isn’t about clearing out old inventory. It’s how we generate cash to work on the next run of products, expand the fly lineup, experiment with new ideas, and keep building something that feels true to who we are.
