Since 2016, this small family-owned winery has focused on honest, expressive wines that let the vineyards â and the passionate farmers behind them â do the talking. The Lourens family believe these special sites play a big role in how their wines turn out. In the cellar, a minimal-intervention approach lets the fruit shine, with nothing added like yeast, acids, enzymes or fining agents. The wines are then aged in older, neutral oak barrels to keep them pure, fresh and full of character. |
Meet Franco Lourens,
the winemaker behind

Francoâs winemaking journey has taken him from Elsenburg Agricultural College to David Finlayson Wines, before joining Chris Alheit as assistant winemaker. He has a soft spot for Cape Verdelho and Grenache Noir, and it shows in his expressive blends.
